Have shutoffs, lockouts and disconnects confirmed by authorized people or utilities.
Document photos, dimensions, useful hidden conditions and salvageable materials before opening.
Establish protection zones and controls for dust, water, noise, falling objects and waste movement.
Separate reuse, recycling, regulated waste and ordinary waste under local rules.
After opening, stop and reassess unexpected structure, unknown services, contamination or active water entry.
Before rebuilding, accept substrate, moisture, structure, services and interfaces that will be concealed.
Close permits, waste records, photos and work evidence into the property file.
