- Read declaration, bylaws, renovation policies and relevant corporation decisions.
- Identify unit and common elements: windows, walls, slab, pipes, ventilation and structure may be shared or governed.
- Obtain required written approvals before demolition and confirm permits/professions separately.
During work
- Coordinate noise hours, elevator, corridors, delivery, dust, waste and fire protection.
- Photograph systems and concealed layers before closing; record approved changes.
- Do not alter a common system or regulated separation without appropriate confirmation.
Closeout
- Collect permits, inspections, invoices, warranties, photos and data sheets.
